Our client is looking for a Deputy Director for Education of Leadership and Governance for their Education department. Your role will be Supporting the Director and other colleagues in the Education Service in formulating, implementing, monitoring, reviewing and evaluating policies, procedures and practices in relation to the work of Educational Leadership & Governance;
This is a very senior and influential role working within the community providing leadership in all educational aspects of good governance in schools and colleges throughout the region. You must have a strong understanding to the social and moral teachings of the Catholic Church and the principles underpinning a Catholic education. You will have experience at senior leadership level of an educational setting (e.g. school, college, Higher Education Institute or Local Authority/Diocese).
Key responsibilities for the role of Deputy Director for Leadership and Governance: –
Deputising for the Director in all aspects of work managed by the Education Service as required;
To have a strong understanding of the diocese's relationship with schools through school governance, both Voluntary Aided and Academy
Contributing to the strategic direction and development of the Education Service;
Work in partnership with all colleagues in the Education Service, and particularly with the other Deputy Director to help ensure excellence in all aspects of the work of the Education Service
Line manage the work of staff in the area of governance appointments and overseeing HR/appraisal of the Governor Coordinator
Chairing, serving on and/or supporting Diocesan and other committees and working groups as required;
Working to support strong partnerships with Diocesan, Catholic Church (England and Wales) and national agencies and organisations;
Be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, monitoring, reviewing and evaluation of all aspects of leadership & governance.

Manage relationships with the Education Service and the Education Commission who oversee the work of the Education Service;
Be responsible for the strategic planning, implementation, monitoring, reviewing and evaluation of all aspects of leadership & governance.
