My client is seeking a high-calibre PMO professional with outstanding IT governance, business and leadership skills to play pivotal role in the on-going development of the PMO and IT Governance functions. The organisation is eager to support the ability of IT and Business Change to deliver high-quality, consistent IT services across the whole business.

Head of PMO and IT Governance Role and Responsibilities:

- Lead, develop and manage a full PMO function

- Further build and enhance the PMO function to provide business and project support across the enterprise

- Establish, lead and manage an IT governance framework

- Manage, assess assure and govern IT-wide processes, methods and controls

- Take full responsibility for IT scorecard, reporting and communications processes

- Create and manage an IT risk framework

Head of PMO and IT Governance Skills and Experience:

- A strong track record of success in specific Head of PMO/IT Governance roles

- Experience in building and developing a full PMO function with a focus on project delivery

- Substantial expertise in managing an IT governance function including, performance monitoring/reporting, audit, risk and compliance (COBIT qualification useful)

- Broad experience in IT financial management, quality assurance and vendor management

- Excellent stakeholder management and relationship management skills

- A collaborative, open approach and outstanding leadership expertise

This is a senior role with responsibility for quality and risk management, resourcing, governance methods and financial controls. Specialist expertise in PMO and IT Governance functions is essential. The role is a 12-month fixed-term appointment
