Assistant to Managing Director

Working directly for the Managing Director this is an exciting opportunity for a highly professional and very experienced Personal Assistant to join a growing and dynamic business. The successful candidate must have proven experience of working for an MD as well as experience of working in a manufacturing environment.
A bright and dynamic individual with exceptional organisation and administration skills. You will have the tenacity and drive to get the job done and be the right–hand person to the MD. You will provide confidential executive assistance and support as well as organising meetings, managing diaries and emails.
You will have a positive outlook with a strong focus on doing the right thing for the customer, creating win–wins and displaying energy and tenacity. This a fast–paced evolving environment so be prepared to adapt well to change.

Hours of work are Monday to Friday 08.30am to 5.00pm.
Role Responsibilities
* Responsible for providing support to the MD in collating and preparing information for the Board pack in line with regular board meetings;
* Draft/update presentation materials and other documents for internal and external use;
* Responsible for managing calendars and prioritising deadlines;
* Organise and co–ordinate meeting arrangements, such as conference arrangements, agenda, minutes circulation and other admin tasks;
* Manage filing, scanning and signing of documents;
* Liaising with customers and provide excellent levels of customer service;
* Understand, promote and work within the company vision, values and leadership and management principles.
Person Attributes
* Proven ability in a demanding PA role supporting a MD or previous experience as a Senior Administrator;
* Experience of working in a manufacturing environment, window industry experience would be advantageous;
* Experience of working appropriately with highly confidential information;
* Experience in a busy and demanding role, demonstrating strong organisational skills, ability to plan and prioritise a complex workload and meet deadlines
* A proactive approach, with the ability to work on own initiative and be assertive in order to see tasks through to completion;
* Excellent attention to detail;
* Communicate in a positive manner at all levels;
* Take responsibility for own performance management and development;
* Experience of administration within a busy office and organising and minuting confidential meetings;
* Excellent Microsoft Office and IT Skills;
* Highly organised with excellent customer service, communication and interpersonal skills:
* A confident individual with the drive, ambition and determination to develop technical knowledge of the products we supply and manufacture;
* Good problem–solving skills with the ability to work under pressure and demonstrate effective time management;
* Project Management experience;
* Analysis and research experience;
* Excellent written and verbal communication, presentation and influencing skills and excellent attention to detail;
* Experience in a similar role is essential;
* Demonstrate a high level of personal responsibility and initiative in all aspects of the role
* A highly motivated individual with a can do approach to work;
* A flexible approach to work;
