Practice Director – Technology – Bristol/Cheltenham
We have been engaged by a word leading engineering consultancy to recruit a Practice Director to lead their technology capability. The client is looking for someone that has a background in a senior leadership role working within the Defence, Technology and Security markets. The individual will have experience of working within a consultancy environment delivering advisory, research, technical and design services, and proven background in winning and delivering business.
Ideally you will have a background in some of the following areas:
*Software Development and Support
*Software Assurance
*Communication Systems
*Data Science
*Geospatial Analytics
*Data Visualisation
*AI & Machine Learning
Core behaviours
*Proven experience in a leadership role,
*Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
*Strong collaborative behaviour
*A track record of growing a business in a consultancy environment.
*Performance driven with strong business acumen with a demonstrated knowledge of identifying potential value creation.
*Customer focused with excellent relationship management skills.
Key Responsibilities:
Operational accountability for meeting business performance targets – revenue and operating profit.
People leadership within the practice – maintaining and improving staff motivation and engagement and growing capability and capacity through staff development and recruitment.
Work winning and delivery – aligning the practice to client accounts identified in the business plan.
Developing the business plan to achieve business performance targets and ensuring that staff prioritise their efforts in line with these plans.
Technical leadership – ensuring that the practice deploys and continually develops the best technical and management solutions for clients,
As Practice Director role you will need to blend client–facing project delivery and work–winning activities with operational management and overall practice leadership, with c60 of your time spent on client–facing activities.
Due to the nature of work undertaken, incumbents of these positions are required to meet special nationality rules and therefore these vacancies are only open to sole British Citizens. Applicants who meet these criteria will also be required to undergo security clearance vetting, if not already security cleared to a minimum SC level
