In House Solicitor (Part Time Hours)

Hays Legal are delighted to be partnering exclusively with a leading NI Company in their search for and In-House Commercial Solicitor on a permanent basis with part time hours.

Your new role

In your new role you will handle UK and International commercial agreements which you will assist in drafting and negotiating to a high standard. You will provide expertise in respect of corporate governance and risk management, as well as drafting and reviewing processes and advising on best practice.

Regulatory, internal compliance and ad-hoc legal queries from the business also form part of the role. Prior experience of acting as an In-House Solicitor / Lawyer is preferred, as you will play a key role in supporting the Senior Leadership Team in helping the business achieve its strategic aims.

This is a fantastic opportunity for practice or in-house Solicitors at a stage of their careers where they are seeking more complex project work to challenge them.

You will be responsible for:

• Reviewing and negotiating of customer terms & conditions.
• Drafting of commercial agreements e. software, post warranty.
• Review & oversight of existing contracts - risk management.
• Driving profitability post warranty, services etc.
• Training & development of commercial team.
• Non-disclosure agreements.
• Protection of intellectual property - management of patents & trademarks.
• Employment law & disciplinary support.
• Companies House filings.
• Development of corporate governance/ risk management framework.
• Liaising with external legal providers.
• Management of acquisitions/ disposals from a legal standpoint.
• Be an ambassador for the company to maintain and enhance our reputation with customers and partners.

What you'll need to succeed

• A Solicitor with 2+ YRs PQE with mid- top tier/ inhouse exposure in a commercial role.
• Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build relationships with stakeholders, including staff, board members, external partners, and customers.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Ability to conduct research and present data in a succinct and well-written manner.
• Ability to work independently and with professional discretion.
• Ability to work with a broad range of people including major customers, Board members, colleagues of the CEO, CFO, and other stakeholders.
• Strong organizational skills that reflect ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks seamlessly with excellent attention to detail.
