Partner Financial are supporting a Private Equity Backed Real Estate Business with a crucial assignment; to appoint an experienced Financial Modeller with exceptional financial modelling skills. The business is well-funded by considerable investments and has ambitious growth plans for the next 3 years and beyond.

This new position will be primarily be building and maintaining the core financial models for the organisation, that include flexibility to analyse a variety of scenarios, timescales and strategic plans, alongside being robust and accurate to appease investors and auditors.

The outcome of the analysis will impact investment and funding for the future and will see the new appointee engage with senior leadership, external advisors and the investor panel.

The role will be an excellent opportunity for someone who is looking to gain exposure to a fast-paced and high-profile PE backed business, who also wants to consolidate their advance modelling skills and grow within a business who has an excellent strategy for the coming years.

Candidates from an investment or banking background will be considered alongside those with relevant experience in industry and commerce.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Leading on the design of the core financial model for the business (3 – 5-year model) and build in a “high level” extension to multiple decades in order to conduct relevant long term stress testing.
  • Analysing company performance in line with financial and operational KPI’s, identify risks and opportunities and present o SLT and Investors as required.
  • Partnering with the business units to establish a strong knowledge of the operations and feed this into the model to ensure accuracy and data validity.
  • Reacting to Investor and Advisor request on an ad-hoc basis.
  • Working with the Head of FP&A and FP&A Manager to conduct a through budgeting and forecasting cycle.
The Ideal Candidate:
  • Exceptional financial modelling skills with experience working delivering insight for a variety of high-profile stakeholders.
  • Experience in modelling complex and sometimes long-term scenarios, sometimes decades. within Banking/Investment or Commerce sectors.
  • Relevant numerical degree or post-grad qualification (ACA, CA, CFA).
  • Excellent systems skills (Excel, BI tools etc).
  • A robust and determined personality with the ability to deliver in challenging environments.
  • Excellent analytical skills and attention to detail and ability to be ‘hands on’.
  • Excellent systems skills having hands-on use of BI tools, and Advanced Excel capability.
  • The ability to work with ambiguity and disparate data of varying quality, with drive to solve such issues.
  • Ability to present and explain financial information at board level.
