Head of Conveyancing – Manchester

SJC Legal is currently managing the recruitment process for a highly regarded law firm in Cheshire that is looking to expand its Residential Conveyancing department. My client is currently looking for a highly regarded specialist Residential Conveyancing Solicitor / CILEx qualified practitioner to lead their division. This will for an integral part of their legal service offering tailored towards high net worth clients.

The Role

?? Advise on the sales and purchases of the full range of residential property, including houses and flats, with a particular focus on high value properties;

?? Deal with the requirements of lenders in relation to sales and purchases

?? Manage purchases, site set ups and plot sales for developer clients;

?? Give accurate, prompt, realistic and relevant advice in response to client's enquiries whilst managing their expectations;

?? Develop and maintain strong relationships with clients;

?? Actively work to convert enquiries into new matters;

?? Promote the Prestige Conveyancing Service and support the firm with marketing opportunities, including; writing blogs and press releases, and to be pro–active in networking and business development;

?? Ensure proper file management, all time recordings are accurate and billings are completed to agreed timescales;

?? Maintain confidentiality in line with the firm's policies and procedures; including dealing with confidential documents; and

?? Identify and undertake training and development as required in order to meet personal, SRA and business needs.

The Candidate

?? Possess significant experience managing a team with a specific focus within a residential conveyancing department;

?? Excellent communication skills both verbal and written;

?? A sound technical knowledge of all relevant aspects of conveyancing;

?? Have an interest to lead a team with a focus on high net worth properties;

?? Possess an approachable and professional manner and be able to maintain and generate strong relationships with high net worth clients;

?? Minimum of 10 years PQE in residential conveyancing with a leading firm; and

?? Be able to efficiently manage a caseload of residential conveyancing files whilst managing a team of conveyancing fee earners, solicitors and paralegals.
