Construction Project Manager Interim Contract – Newcastle / Northumberland
A new Construction Project Management role has arisen with a client of ours and we are seeking someone for an immediate start. You will be working for an organisation that offers bespoke services for both new–build residential developments as well as extensions and re–design/development projects.
Your new role
As Project Manager you will be responsible for a new–build development site with circa 50 new homes being built. The site is currently around 35% complete, and we require an experienced PM to join the team to see this particular project through to completion.
You will also be able to demonstrate proven experience in the following key areas:
Ability to work individually with limited supervision and also as part of a team across the scheme.
Continual inspection, cross checking and snagging works on site to ensure compliance with the applicable specification and manufacturers recommendations.
Ensure that anything which is likely to affect the site's / company's performance is notified to the construction director and the appropriate action is complete.
Responsible for stock control levels – ensuring there is adequate materials on site for the build requirements.
Checking and recording all deliveries and keeping track of all waste transfer notes and delivery notes.
Risk Assessments and Method Statements (RAMS)
Health & Safety management on site
Fully comply with applicable building regulations and new homes warranty provider including liaison
with both parties and ensuring all information application to your services are provided upon request.
Ensure the scheme is constructed in accordance with relevant standards, Codes of Practice, Building
Regulations and warranty requirements in force at the time.
Management of sub–contractors
Financial reporting and management – working closely with the QS.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, we are seeking a candidate with Project Management experience working on Residential Developments.
You will also hold a valid SMSTS certification as well as First Aid.
Ability to work to deadlines and to problem–solve is also essential for this role.
