Hays are working with a new and rapidly growing Fintech/Financial Services business based across several central locations across the UK. Born out of a Big–4 Accountancy Firm they are now on of the UKs largest independent wealth management specialists combining advice, consultancy and third–party administration. They are seeking a new permanent appointment for an IT Director, who will be ideally based within Birmingham in the Midlands.

Your new role
As IT Director your job will be to oversee technical operations, manage and lead a direct team of 6 and wider business of 30 including operations and security. Your role in focus on user satisfaction whilst being a driver for business improvement, particularly systems and internal operations. You will be responsible for the technology roadmap and working with 3rd party suppliers and wider market to ensure business offering is delivering value. You will work alongside Data Protection Officer and CISO to ensure group compliance.

What you'll need to succeed
We are seeking applicants degree/masters degree qualified with extensive experience managing and leading an IT business. You will have experience within professional services, pensions or a regulated industry background as well as excellent knowledge of IT operations, systems and developments. You will be a strong leader and communicator with analytical and problem solving skills. Knowledge and experience of ISO27001, Data Protection and GDPR and experience working with FCA regulations also sought after.
