A fantastic opportunity exists for a Head of Projects/programme Manager who has strong delivery experience across software/technology projects.

This is a Lead role, reporting into the CTO of this forward thinking Technology company, who are driving through an enterprise wide business transformation and cultural shift. The successful candidate will be a natural evangelist around Agile working practices, enterprise wide.

Key areas of focus:

Lead all project related activities across Technology, encompassing project management principles, planning and progress reporting.

Point of contact for all project focused activities on the technology roadmap
Lead the introduction and management of project methodologies throughout the business
Identify and address areas where business process improvement could make internal processes more efficient
Risk, Issue and Change management

Key Tasks:

Develop and implement a strategy for project delivery to assist the business in meeting or exceeding its forward strategy
Define, develop, and administer the program management framework, processes, and tools
Provide a central point of reference for all things project related.
Consolidation of status reporting across multiple business lines and programs
Tracking and communication of project status and key metrics
Drive execution on plans and initiatives through follow up and reporting
To provide support, advice and assistance to people and/or departments across the organisation managing their own projects
Responsible for ongoing development and maintenance of project related management information and associated reporting
Assist with the production of periodic ad hoc project reports, research papers and internal reviews/assessments

Key Knowledge & Experience:

The successful candidate will have demonstrable experience of project/programme delivery, as well as strong understanding around governance models.

Strong stakeholder engagement and leadership skills.
Personable, pro–active, professional and able to demonstrate full commitment to exceptional customer care and service in all activities
Handle difficult personnel situations directly, using appropriate discretion, HR advice, and respect for the individual
Exemplary communication skills
Able to advise the Executive level of the business and help to provide direction strategically
Strong and demonstrated ability to build lasting relationships with key stakeholders
Strong skills in creating and maintaining project plans, including risks, actions, issues, dependencies
Knowledge of profit accountability with an understanding of controlling project costs and budgets
Knowledge of benefits and dependency mapping, risk management and resource planning
