Managing Director – Construction and Development

A leading Cheshire based company, with 200 properties across Warrington is seeking an experienced Managing Director professional to head up their exciting business.
The role is at Managing Director level siting beneath the Owner. The role will be suited to a Construction expert with extensive experience as MD within Construction or the Residential sectors.
You will have played an active and key role in all aspects of the construction (pre, post and during). Programme management skills are required as you will handle the initial cost and budget planning, engagement with all external consultants and contractors, design, specifications, and final completion.
The Managing Director will be a commercially astute individual with excellent communication and managerial skills, confident at presenting.
The core function of the role is to manage all aspects of the property portfolio including new developments.
The MD will have ultimate managerial responsibility for their existing, development, construction, and refurbishment of new and existing sites.
You will work closely with the finance and operation teams, as well as legal representatives for all parties. The MD will also work with the Purchasing and Acquisition teams to maximise the benefits of potential purchases.
The Owner is planning many new projects in the coming years. This candidate will be instrumental to continued growth and extensive profitability of the organisation.
The role in brief:
Managing and Directing all aspects of Portfolio
To manage pre, during and post construction stages
To prepare an outline programme for the project
Negotiation and agreement of Contract Terms with Consultants and Contractors.
The person required: Highly knowledgeable construction / development professional with Director / Managing Director experience.
Strong commercial awareness with background in high level negotiations experience would be highly advantageous
A formal commercial or construction qualification would be beneficial
Must be a passionate, confident and concise communicator
