My client is independently owned with a turnover of approx 20 million, employing 1580 people with a colleague centric ethos. Their service portfolio includes cleaning, security and hard services providing either single, bundled or a TFM offering. An award–winning company accredited with 25 awards they are at the forefront of innovation.
Due to growth they are now looking to recruit a Business Development Director based in the South.
The position involves building relationships within an established market sector, aiming to build a robust pipeline of opportunities and converting these new business ultimately increasing turnover.
The position is based from home with the predominate focus being to secure new business in the South, whilst engaging and building rapport with key stakeholders within the sector. Tender/proposal opportunities within the sector should be identified and lead by the Business Development Director, however there is bid management support.
The role requires three main targets to be achieved, financial turnover, margin and conversion and continuous liaison with the sales, commercial and operations team with full transparency of the business pipeline is essential
My client is looking for a driven and career ambitious candidate as the BDD will take responsibility for building a new business development team within 12–18 months, taking responsibility for all management and training of the team
My client is looking for a candidate with an entrepreneurial flair who is passionate about innovation and "sharing of best practices"
To apply you must be customer centric, be experienced selling soft services, with preferably some knowledge of TFM. Experienced at bidding, negotiating and presenting at board level
In return a basic salary between GBP55–70,000 will be offered dependant on experience plus an enviable commission scheme and company car or car allowance plus further benefits
