Role: Head of Supply Chain - Clinical/Medical
Location: South London (Home based initially)
Salary: (GBP60,000 to GBP80,000 per annum + 10% of salary per annum bonus (Dependant on experience and fit for the requirement)

The Role
Our leading client requires a Head of Supply Chain to act as a credible manager, provide leadership and direction to the Supply Chain team through business as usual service development and enhancement projects to deliver a 'best in class' end to end service to clinical areas. Working collaboratively with stakeholders to enhance working processes and practice across all areas of ordering, inventory, supply and storage.

The Responsibilities
Support the development of supply chain policy for short, medium and long term success across the function
Ensure multi-disciplinary supply chain projects are well-led by a team member who can agree where improved service will be achieved through changes in the current service provision
Support the management of the supply chain function through the definition of appropriate internal and external SLA agreements and KPIs
Advise others on specialist techniques and technologies available to improve the service
Create a service of supply chain excellence
Explore and exploit opportunities for collaborative working internally and externally
At an operational level, proactively lead and manage multiple programmes and projects to maximise efficiencies of the supply chain
Support the Director of Supply Chain & Clinical Procurement in networking with key current and future clients, suppliers, clinical and professional bodies
Support the vision, goals and work plans and prioritise activity to achieve change objectives
Work with the Director of Supply Chain & Clinical Procurement to proactively organise meetings and workshops to facilitate discussion, field questions and listen to enhancement ideas and or objections from staff and clients
Lead value engineering initiatives, including value stream mapping and other techniques to eliminate waste and inefficiency and improve productivity through the use of technology
Developing policies to increase efficiency throughout the supply chain while ensuring quality and safety; implementing subsequent changes to processes

The Requirements
*Substantial experience managing supply chain functions where the supply chain is considered a strategic core competence in the success of the organisation
*Experience as a manager with a proven ability to build and manage successful teams
*Expert knowledge of best in class supply chain management practices
*A understanding of strategic supply chain relationships and inter-dependencies
*Good time management, organizational skills, and written and verbal communications skills
*Works well in high pressure situations
*Expert knowledge of supply chain legislation and regulations
*Excellent IT skills
*Substantial experience in supply chain/procurement of adult services, adult care, clinical consumables, medical etc.
