Director of Scientific Services (Medical Education)

A leading medical education agency based in Surrey is on the lookout for a new Director of Scientific Services to join their award winning team. This is a very high profile position, and they're looking for an industry leader to take the reins and spearhead their entire editorial function.

The Company

The agency has a stellar reputation in the market, having recently been decorated with awards for their work across healthcare professional education & support programmes, live events, standalone activity and meetings. They cover a wide variety of disease areas, however they are most known for their work in dermatology, respiratory, oncology and rare diseases.

Director of Scientific Services Role

They are looking for their new Director of Scientific Services to define and lead the development of the scientific and clinical strategy of their clients' products and initiatives. In doing so, you will be heading up their two business units – each unit has their own focus and client base, so they are looking for someone who will be able to oversee the entire offering, supported of course by a very talented team of Scientific Directors and Scientific Team Leads.

Essential Experience

Educated to at least degree (or equivalent) level in medicine, pharmacy or life sciences. A higher degree would be an advantage.
Significant experience across several products and therapy areas within medical communications or an equivalent environment.
Experience leading through effective people management and ensuring not only excellence in project work and delivery across the communication mix, but also ensuring successful personal growth and development of line reports.
In return, you will receive a salary in the region of GBP90,000 – GBP100,000 per annum (depending on experience). The agency also has a very competitive benefits package on offer.
