There is real demand from the firms client base for a family law department, they actually practice virtually every other sector of law, meaning this is a great springboard to launch the department from.
This role is a doorway to Partnership and even Equity for the right candidate in the future. You will work side on side with the firms talented partnership to establish and drive this family department forwards.

The Role
The firm are looking for a Family Senior Associate / Partner, this role can be based out of either the Liverpool or Chester offices.
You will be responsible for setting up the brand new Family department, while being supported by the firm in marketing and networking with the opportunity for many cross referrals. You will find that you are starting from a warm position in terms of workflow as the firm have a very well-established client base. They receive many enquiries for family work you will be able to follow up on.
You will deal with a clientele of HNW individuals which makes for an interesting and varied role.
You will take on a diverse and broad caseload of solely privately funded matters to include divorce, financial remedies, civil partnership dissolution, prenuptial agreements as well as privately funded children work.
This role comes with strong prospects to progress, in line with the growth agenda of the firm and an opportunity to grow and develop a team.

Requirements
- You will be a Family Solicitor with at least 6 years PQE (there is no upper limit regarding the amount of experience and applications are invited from even the most experienced candidates)
- You will have a strong technical knowledge and first-class communication skills
- You will have strong business development capabilities
- Experience of overseeing a team is desirable, however not essential
- Salary is competitive and negotiable depending on your level of experience, on offer is an excellent benefits package and bonus scheme
