Head of R&D Tax required by National Accountancy Firm - flexible on location

Your new company
This legal and professional services group employs nearly 100 people and has more than 5,700 active clients ranging from FTSE 100 companies to private individuals, in the UK and beyond. As part of the Consulting arm of the business, you will join one of the leading fiscal incentives businesses in the UK. The team specialises in tax-based fiscal incentives including capital allowances, land remediation relief, R&D tax relief and international tax depreciation analysis. They act across all business sectors (predominantly SME) including healthcare, information technology, green energy, leisure and regeneration.

Your new role
They are looking to appoint an experienced individual to head up the R&D Tax Relief service. The team already has a good track record, a small and highly professional team, an existing client base, an effective claim format and a skilled business development team to open doors and set up meetings. On joining, you will be able to review the business, make changes and recruit to develop it further. You will work closely with the lawyers to educate them and win internal business and also with the Fiscal Incentives Directors on a team business plan, setting feasible targets for a long-term growth proposition

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will have a genuine desire to be part of a rapidly growing team, underpinned by the enthusiasm and drive to develop the business and their own learning. You will have at least five years' experience advising clients at a high level in a similar capacity, proven long-term experience in the delivery of an R&D service, an ability to generate new business and an awareness of the other fiscal incentives services offered by the company.
