We've got a fantastic opportunity for a Depot Project Manager based in the South East. Reporting to the Head of Logistics, Supply Chain & Stores you will deliver the IT elements of a brand new depot being built in Biggleswade, Bedfordshire – to include infrastructure, telephony, hardware, cabling, WMS system implementation etc.
You will lead Project Management of this new dept build & must have previous experience of depot build and/or construction project, including WMS & infrastructure projects as well as strong negotiation skills, the ability to work closely with external suppliers & great communication skills.
As a Project Manager, you will do the following;
Co–ordinate end user requirements into project deliverables
Regularly communicate updates (message to be tailored to audience)
Provide clear direction to project teams
Structure project governance and environments to ensure colleagues are able to maximise their contributions
Safeguard BAU operations from adverse impact from project delivery
Ensure projects delivers benefits within time & budget constraints
Co–ordinate dependencies and assumptions between projects to ensure no detrimental impact to other projects while ensuring the successful delivery of own project What skills and qualifications do I need to be a successful Project Manager?
Track record of delivering complex IT projects
Experience of working with a range of project management methodologies (Prince2, APM, Agile qualifications would be advantageous)
Skilled in working within matrix structures
A track record in building and leveraging strong business and stakeholder relationships; able to manage conflicting views and requirements to achieve win win outcomes
Successful achievement of results whilst working under pressure; a tenacious approach and ability to maintain a positive attitude in adverse situationsThe Technology function offers more of what matters to systems professionals at every level.
