Role Profile
Our client, who is a growing Retail business, are looking to recruit a Head of Global Sales. Reporting into the Senior Leadership Team, you will be accountable for developing an effective sales strategy to achieve Business Plan objectives and ensure business grows whilst maintaining the profit margin, leading new business development in the UK and overseas around the network and to customers.
Key Responsibilities
Develop and execute strategic sales plans to achieve sales targets and expand customer base within agreed pricing structure to maintain and improve margins
Work with all sales team to negotiate prices whilst maintaining margins
Develop marketing strategies with the Marketing team to improve sales
Plan out territories to maximise the efficiency of Area Sales Staff and increase the number of accounts in each area maximising potential sales in each area.
Travel on a regular basis to identify new markets to secure business
Carry out staff appraisals and produce PDP's linked to the business plan
Ensure that all services provided within the department are delivered within the set budget. Monitor and investigate any variances from budget
Carry out staff appraisals and produce PDP's linked to the business plan
Skills & Experience
Previous experience of growing Sales across UK and International markets is essential
Strong negotiation skills
Pharmaceutical experience would be advantageous
Strong account management and business development skills are required
Previous line management experience is required
Ability to take a product and supply it into large Retailers
