We are currently looking to recruit an experienced Housing Project Manager in Peterborough to work on behalf of the Council, this will be on a contracting basis with flexibility to work from home.
The purpose of this temporary role is to establish and manage a project to improve temporary accommodation rent collection, and debt collection more generally, in the Housing Service.
The Council have proposed that a sustainably resourced and properly equipped rent collection service is established as part of the Housing Service. This new service would take responsibility for all rent collection using a fit–for–purpose information system and work to a new KPI of 95% rent collection.
To achieve this objective, the Project Manager will:
* Increase rent collection to 95% by April 2021
* Increase arrears and FTA collection to 80% by 2021
* Increase rent guarantee/deposit collection to 80% by April 2021
* Produce and work to a project plan and associated documents
* Manage all risks and dependencies associated with the project
* Understand the revenue journey (from rent due to rent collected)
* Evaluate, procure and implement a system to manage all housing rent accounts
* Ensure any new system is also a good solution for property and repairs management
* Develop policies, procedures and performance management systems to manage and monitor rent collection, arrears management, eviction proceedings etc.
* Work with Finance to make any necessary budget adjustments
* Liaise with HB to establish any necessary integration
* Establish new Rent Officer post and recruit and train new officer
The role is expected to be for a period of 6 months. Daily rate GBP350–GBP450per day
