Outside IR35 Locum Childcare Lawyer

An exciting role to work as a Locum Childcare Lawyer for a large local authority in the South West has arisen. The role is expected to last for 3 to 6 months on a full time basis and is offered on a fully remote working basis for the foreseeable. The hourly rate for this role ranges between GBP45–GBP50 per hour and is on an outside IR35 basis. This is a great opportunity for an established and experienced Childcare Solicitor to work within a large and busy team.

Duties and responsibilities include:

• Manage your own caseload of care proceedings and PLO cases, including complex cases, non–accidental injury cases and cases with an international dimension
• Prepare s. 31 cases ready for issuing with the Court
• Undertake advocacy in the Magistrates and County Court
• Carry out advocacy at CMC, directions, interim hearings and at advocates meetings
• Advise client social workers in safeguarding children matters including private law and s37 matters
• Carry out advocacy at CMC, directions, interim hearings and at advocates meetings
• Provide client care and undertaking case management of the issued proceedings and PLO matters
• Supervising more junior members within the childcare team and providing assistance as and when required
