Head of Engineering / Chief Technology Officer (CTO) – Development, Design, Azure, Java

Our client based in Surrey is seeking a dynamic, hands–on and technically astute Head of Engineering / Chief Technology Officer (CTO) to take full responsibility for all aspects of end–to–end technical design, Azure Cloud Infrastructure, Mobile App, Gateway Development and Service Operations.

As Head of Engineering / Chief Technology Officer (CTO) you must be an experienced technical leader who can manage multiple, and at times conflicting priorities which facilitate successful delivery to the end client.

Key skills and experience:

* Successful design of end–to–end solution architectures encompassing large scale cloud and consumer apps

* Leading design and launch of system interfaces (Restful and subscription APIs, JSON)

* Excellent understanding / experience of using Java

* Scaling infrastructure using cloud service providers / architectures (Microsoft Azure Cloud Platform)

* Experience working with digital (app) technologies, across all platforms

* Able to formulate and deliver strategies / plans, self–motivated with significant experience of managing and leading multi–functional technical teams

* Delivery of hardware devices/IoT from production line to end–customer

* Excellent results from working with offshore development and delivery teams
Software development using agile methods / delivery

You must be comfortable and confident in working in a fast moving, highly technical environment and willing to pitch–in where necessary.

The successful Head of Engineering / Chief Technology Officer (CTO) must have previous experience of managing and leading onshore and offshore teams (Developers, Tech Leads, Engineers etc).

This role is based in Surrey and is paying a salary of up to GBP80,000 – GBP120,000 (depending on experience) plus excellent benefits.
