As the Subject Matter Expert within the Chemistry division of this international Testing, Analysis and Research Consultancy, the Chemistry Project Manager will be responsible for providing technical leadership for the analytical testing services provided to internal & external customers.

A hands–on test & project delivery role, the Chemistry Project Manager will also be able to utilise internal resources in the design and delivery of technical packages of work.

Using sound science, the Chemistry Project Manager will work with customers to design and deliver test solutions that meet the customer needs, whilst ensuring work is delivered to agreed timescales and within budget.

Able to utilise a wide range of testing tools & analytical techniques including LC–MS/UV, GC–MS, FTIR, UV, ICP, conductivity and pH as appropriate, the Project Manager will generate, process, authorise, review and approve analytical data, using the analysed data to write the test protocols & comprehensive customer reports.

Other Responsibilities Include:

Supporting and leading analytical staff with Laboratory operations.

Represent the company in customer meetings, communications, conferences & trade shows.

Determine & understand customer requirements and prepare work proposals, study plans and budget forecasts.

Ensure studies meet current regulatory requirements for method development and method validation where required.

Along with others, ensure that quality accreditation's and regulations are maintained and followed including ISO17025 & GxP

Skills & Attributes:

Education – Science Degree qualified or alternatively hold an A Level Science subject with 4+ years of directly related experience.

Solid experience of GC–MS or LC–MS/UV & data handling

Experience of analytical study design and method validation.

Experience of protocol and report writing for analytical studies so good written English skills are needed.

Ability to occasionally travel in the UK & internationally to attend customer meetings, conferences & tradeshows.

Specific experience working within the pharmaceuticals industry and/or experience within a customer facing role ie. CRO or CMO is beneficial but not essential
