Head of Health, Safety, Environment & Quality
Salary: GBP75,000 plus car allowance and attractive benefits package
Location: National role

We're very pleased to be partnering with a sector leading transport and logistics company, who are seeking a Head of Health, Safety, Environment & Quality (HSEQ) to lead on the strategy and management of health and safety across their growing organisation. The company has over 40 sites across the UK providing a nationwide distribution network. This role will lead, develop and manage a team of HSEQ professionals and have national responsibility across the UK.

This is a fantastic opportunity to lead the health, safety, environment and quality strategy in a professional and dynamic working environment.

Responsibilities of the Head of Health, Safety, Environment & Quality:

Provide expert guidance and leadership to the Board of Directors and engage with all staff across the organisation on health, safety and environment issues
Ensure a culture of best practice health and safety across all sites, ensuring full regulatory compliance
Ensure activities across the network are properly risk assessed and manage a regular audit programme to evaluate performance
Oversee the development and continuous improvement of the management systems, seek opportunities to improve and enhance the overall Health and safety strategy and performance
Deliver relevant management reports on health, safety and environmental performance for the leadership teamThe successful Head of Health, Safety, Environment & Quality will have:

Proven experience in a similar role within transport, logistics, distribution or a related industry
Experience in influencing, engaging and coaching across all levels of the organisation from site level to the boardroom
A NEBOSH / NCRQ Diploma or NVQ5 (or equivalent)
Membership of a professional body (eg IOSH) Chartership of IOSH (or working towards)This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced health & safety professional to lead and manage the SHEQ agenda for a growing organisation.
