An excellent opportunity has arisen for an ambitious Senior Family Solicitor to join a highly reputable and Legal 500 practice with a great presence in the south. They are a full–service firm with other across the UK.

They are seeking a Solicitor with an exceptional understanding of the market to join their Shrewsbury office to lead the family department. The ideal candidate will demonstrate technical expertise in dealing with a full range of Family work gained at a reputable law firm.

You will be bringing on new cases on a variety of matters to include divorce and separation, private children matters and financial agreements / disputes. The caseload will be predominantly privately funded.

Duties will include:

Managing and building your own caseload
Advising on a variety of mid to high net worth, privately funded family matters to include Divorce / Separation, Financial Disputes, Civil Partnership Dissolution, Child Care Law and Pre–Nuptials
Travelling to client meetings
Be actively involved in marketing and business development activities to help grow the department
Managing and supporting the team

The successful candidate will:

Experienced background within Family Law
Have good academics – Degree/LPC/Training Contract or have achieved FCILEx status

Offer sound legal advice to a diverse client base
Maintain your continuing professional development requirements
Ideally have mediation experience and be a member of resolution
Be self–motivated with a drive to develop the department by going out and networking
Work in a collaborative manner within the team and wider firm
Have a positive approach and strong work ethic
Have successful marketing and development skills
A car and driving license are essential
