Scientific Director (Homebased)

A brilliant and well–known medical communications agency in the UK is on the lookout for a new Scientific Director to join the team on a permanent basis. The position has come about as they have won some significant new business, which they are now building to deliver.

Scientific Director Role

The medical communications agency are looking for an established Scientific Director looking for the next challenge, or an experienced Principal Medical Writer aiming to move up. You will be expected to lead specific projects and provide guidance to team members on client and project issues. They have roles available which are publications focused and roles available that have a medical affairs / commercial focus, depending on the preference of the Scientific Director.

Essential Experience

Educated to at least degree level in medicine, pharmacy or life sciences. A higher degree would be an advantage.
7+ years agency or med comms experience within the pharma (Rx) and healthcare sectors
Creative, innovative, and always open to new ideas and new ways of expressing them
First–hand experience managing a team of writers, including performance reviews and appraisals
In return, you will receive a salary in the region of GBP65,000 – GBP75,000 per annum (depending on experience). The role can either be fully remote, or be based partly out of their London or Manchester offices.
