Our client, a specialist financial services company based in Borehamwood are looking for a Head of Development (PHP, Zend, Laravel) to join them team on a permanent basis.
This is a life changing role in an exciting, fast based and stable business. The client have a set of legacy loan products that are all PHP based which they are looking to redevelop with the latest version of PHP and move from Zend to Laravel currently as well as multiple other greenfield projects the successful candidate can jump in to.
You will be managing a team but still be extremely hands on, working very closely with the Head of Product and Head of Testing. You will own the product from a technical stand point and set out best practices for the Development team.
Key Requirements:
OO with PHP
Zend Framework 2
Laravel experience
Relational Database Management Systems, particularly MySQL
Database design and data modelling
Broad knowledge of JavaScript libraries, specifically Vue.js and jQuery
Agile (SCRUM/XP)
Modular CSS using SASS or LESS
Git SCM
Knowledge and experience of building and operating CI/CD pipelines
Linux
Knowledge of AWS valued highly
Experience of leading development teams.In return you will receive Private Health care, a Pension scheme, generous holiday allowance and a bonus scheme.
GBP65,000–GBP75,000
