Reporting to the Directors, this is an independent role working closely with the wider team. Whilst producing accurate monthly management accounts and assisting with budgeting and forecasting, the Financial Controller will also focus on developing the finance function, satisfying all aspects of financial and statutory reporting. With the autonomy to take on additional duties as the workload demands, you will be in a prime position to develop within the business as it continues to grow.

Some of the main duties include:
- Monthly reporting to the Group
- Quarterly and year-end reporting
- Ensuring that all financial transactions are properly recorded and filed in accordance with current FCA regulations and legislation
- Raising invoices to clients; debtor control; creditor control; generating WIP reports
- Enhancing and updating current accounting systems
- Delivering robust budgets and long range financial plans
- Continuously looking to add value whilst minimising costs
- Building sustainable relationships with third party advisers including auditors, HMRC and banks
- Liaising with and presenting strategic reports to senior executives and board members
- Qualified finance professional (ACA, ACCA or CIMA)
- Previous experience working in a similar position
- Strong technical finance ability across P&L, balance sheets and cash flows
- Outstanding communication skills both written and oral
- Critical thinker who is passionate about business
- Highly conversant with IT and financial systems
- A ‘hands on’ approach
