An exciting opportunity for a Tax Manager has become available in Cheshire.
The Tax Manager will have the overall responsibility of the corporate tax process including guiding and advising the Senior Leadership Team on appropriate/optimised Tax and excise exposure fulfilment, ensuring compliance to tax regulations and reporting standards.
Role Responsibilities:

The Tax Manager will have the overall responsibility of the corporate tax process including guiding and advising the Senior Leadership Team on appropriate/optimised Tax and excise exposure fulfilment, ensuring compliance to tax regulations and reporting standards.
Role Responsibilities:
- Implement and develop best practices for the management of indirect & direct taxes;
- Timely filings of various VAT, Excise duty, Customs related returns, Direct tax returns, QIPS with HM Revenue & Customs;
- Timely payment of Income Tax, VAT, Customs duty and Excise duty;
- Assess and implement indirect, direct tax optimization opportunities;
- Take lead from a tax perspective on new acquisitions and reorganisations;
- Provide support on Inventory Monetization transaction and Receivable Securitisation or similar;
- Monitor changes to direct tax and indirect tax rules evaluating their impact on business;
- Support Company Advisors on Research and Development tax credits;
- Representation before Trade Bodies and Government;
- Ensure tax compliance (indirect & direct);
- Bachelor’s Degree and a professional tax qualification (CTA);
- Extensive tax experience is essential
- Working knowledge of SAP preferred
- Extremely conversant with all HMRC VAT, Excise & Customs law and Rules; & Direct taxation & rule
- Ability to drive solutions to complex operational and financial issues and to work in a team-oriented environment that is fast paced and demanding
- You will be a self-starter with strong communication skills who is versatile in applying UK Tax Laws and Rules and also has experience in dealing with complex cross border transaction
