Fast growing Financial services business that is going through an exciting period of change requires an Investment Reporting Accountant to work on an interim basis.

This role is based in a team of 5 and to support the Investment Reporting Manager, as there are a number of people within the business seconded to a number of finance change projects in the business.

The role is to ensure that the investment reporting function attains the required service standards in relation to all internal and external stakeholders ,to ensure that the investment reportingteam produces accurate and timely information for the purposes of USGAAP and IFRS reporting and to maintain and produce supportimg documentation suitable for audit and regulatory compliance.

Responnsibilities include:

  • Accounting: Deliver accurate accounting under USGAAP & IFRS for investments in line with agreed SLAs and deadlines. Resolve any queries relating to accounting for investments including any new asset classes to be invested.

  • Financial Reporting: Produce quality and timely submissions to support the delivery of USGAAP & IFRS reporting in line with accounting standards and group policy.

  • Investment Reporting: Provide timely and accurate investment reporting deliverables to internal stakeholders under a right-first time framework.

  • Controls: Ensure the function adheres to control standards, including RCSA and FRR documentation. Oversee implementation of effective robust controls to ensure compliance with accounting standards, group policy and regulatory requirements.

  • Reconciliations: Manage team delivery of accurate and timely reconciliations to validate accounting submissions that meet internal/external audit and regulatory requirements.

  • Audit: Ensure internal and external audit requirements are met in relation to investment, including delivery of accurate reconciliations, documentation, evidence and commentary.

  • Compliance: Ensure compliance with accounting standards, FCA/PRA regulations in relation to investments. Also meet all business requirements in relation to compliance including annual completion of mandatory CBTs.

  • Oversight: oversee the outsourcer in relation property fund administration, with particular focus on USGAAP reporting.

  • Data Management: monitor and oversee successful delivery of general ledger and risk feed data from third party, ensuring the data is fit for purpose, in line with accounting standards and requirements of the business. Pro-actively challenge data integrity.

  • Change control: ensure robust change control process is followed when there are changes to data, systems and processes, which includes user-acceptance testing.

  • People: engage with peers, colleagues and other teams in a collaborative manner. Support any new starters by mentoring and sharing knowledge to ensure successful admission to the team.

  • Projects: support any projects as deemed appropriate by the business, including facilitating successful absorption of any acquired books of business.
You will need to have an investment accounting background with experience in IFRS and be available to start an interim role shortly. They offer a day rate of circa £500 a day and the role can be based in Telford or London.
