A FTSE listed retail business based in Central London is currently recruiting for a Financial Reporting Accountant. This is a newly created position working for a retailer which is currently bucking the trend and growing. This is an excellent opportunity for a newly qualified to join the Group Finance Team where there is the ability to grow and progress.
Reporting into the Group Financial Controller you will be responsible for accounting and reporting of the lease contracts under IFRS 16 across the group; budgeting/forecasting for leases under IFRS 16; managing the monthly management accounting process for IFRS 16; responsible for defining ongoing processes and controls around lease accounting; interim and full year IFRS 16 disclosures for both Group and subsidiary statutory accounts.
The successful candidate would be either ACA or ACCA qualified with knowledge of IFRS and UK GAAP accounting standards (knowledge of IFRS 16 desirable); this role will involve liaising with senior management so excellent communication skills are essential.
