fdu is recruiting a UK Finance Director for a c£45m t/o Private Equity backed media (professional services) client.
Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer you will be responsible for leading the finance function on a day to day basis whilst providing on-going commercial support to the senior leadership team. You will lead a change management project to drive efficiency across the finance team whilst ensuring that the function is best positioned to support the business in helping it achieve its growth targets.

You will lead a change management project to drive efficiency across the finance team whilst ensuring that the function is best positioned to support the business in helping it achieve its growth targets.
Key responsibilities:
- Day to day management of the UK finance team, ensuring they are appropriately motivated and developed and so that they carry out their responsibilities to the required standard
- Preparation and monitoring of annual budget and reforecasting (P&L, Balance sheet and cashflow) through discussions with key budget holders
- Preparation of the Group’s monthly consolidated reporting, forecasting, annual budgeting process and year end completions
- Liaising with overseas offices, reviewing and interrogating of country results for accuracy before reporting to Group
- Accountable for the operations of the finance function and ensuring management information reporting deadlines are always met
- Preparation of monthly finance board reporting pack, including key KPI’s
- Overseeing treasury including banking, working capital and cash management
- Develop and maintain all necessary systems, processes and procedures to ensure effective and efficient financial management within the company
- Qualified Chartered Accountant with extensive post qualification experience
- Strong leadership skills, with the ability to lead heightened performance and delegate effectively
- Professional, pragmatic and confident within a senior role
- Proven experience of presenting (verbal and written) financial information at a senior level
- Ability to communicate with key stakeholders, both internal and external, and ability to interact easily with non-finance colleagues and with employees at all levels
- Excellent attention to detail, good analytical skills, and ability to analyse numbers quickly and accurately and communicate them easily to non-finance colleagues
- Experience in evaluating systems and making recommendations
- Working within a comparable industry would be desirable
