Your new role
This new opportunity has been created to provide expertise, guidance and support to the Managing Director and their management team for the financial and commercial control of all business activities. In this role you will direct the business in all aspects of financial control, planning, management and analysis to to ensure compliance with financial standards and policies and that the reporting is done in a timely and accurate manner. Responsibilities will include:

• Business partner the Managing Director providing strategic direction to the business
• Attend all Board meetings providing financial expertise,
• Lead strategic business planning process; including budgeting, forecasting and performance review processes
• Corporate governance
• Group reporting & internal reporting
• Lead and motivate the finance team
• Business case appraisal challenging risks and opportunities
• Enable a robust Finance system
• Develop relationships with key external stakeholders
• Business improvements
• Systems and process improvements

What you'll need to succeed
The successful candidate will be fully CCAB qualified and will have a minimum of five years post qualified experience working as a role of similar stance and seniority. Broad finance expertise is key and as well as being able to use complex data, knowledge of VAT and tax is essential. You will have proven leadership skills in managing a diverse finance function in a fast-paced environment. Personal qualities required include confidence, commercial awareness, credibility, a methodical approach and positive nature. Recent experience in the FMCG sector is a must.
