We are working with a £50m T/O consumer goods group who, having recently been acquired and received significant investment, require a high calibre Financial Controller to support ambitious growth plans that will see them double turnover in the next 3 years.
The role reports to the CFO and oversees the financial control and management of the main trading Group in the UK and Europe, as well as the UK and US operations for a recently acquired entity. All these constitute around 65% of the Group turnover, c£32m.
The Financial Controller will have responsibility for managing a team of 4 providing all the financial reporting, business planning and statutory output. It will take the lead on the introduction and development of control, planning and governance disciplines, to balance the businesses need to be scalable and fit-for-purpose. The role is also expected to widely contribute across all areas of the Group to provide support and guidance to the finance teams in HK/China and drive consistency of approach and global team ethos.
The candidate will be a graduate calibre qualified Accountant who is able to demonstrate a successful track record of career development to date. Whilst experience from within an Omni-channel retail or consumer goods sector would be ideal, exceptional candidates from other industry sectors will be considered. As the most important traits are a strong technical skill set, proactive mindset, commercial outlook, confident communication and ability to demonstrate a ‘can-do’ attitude.

Scope for organic role progression will develop as the business becomes more internationally focused and broadens product set and operations.
