Our client is in the rare position to be looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join the organisation and assume responsibility for leading finance, actuarial, commercial services and internal audit teams, reporting to the CEO and Board.

As the CFO, you will be working closely with the CEO and be part of an executive management team providing vision and direction for the financial management of the Company. You will mentor, motivate and direct teams in actuarial, finance, commercial services and internal audit to give confidence to both the Board and their stakeholders on the financial security of the fund in both the short and long term. You will oversee the preparation of the annual accounts to be laid in Parliament and liaise with their auditors by working in partnership with the Chief Actuary, Chief Investment Officer and Chief Risk Officer to ensure effective management of the Balance Sheet.

Their ideal candidate will be a fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) that has demonstrable experience working as a CFO or Finance Director within an executive management capacity and has motivated and developed a large, multi-disciplinary team (c.35 staff). If your experience is from within the Financial Services or Pensions Industry it would be beneficial but this is not essential for the position. The ability to influence, promote and articulate ideas to different groups of people along with the ability to challenge and be challenged are essential skills for this position; along with strong interpersonal and communication skills to present information to internal and external audiences.
