Our client is a high growth business services company with exciting plans both in the UK and overseas. They are now looking to recruit a CFO to act as a key strategic partner to the CEO. Having full responsibility for finance this is a main Board position and as such will act as a key interface between investors, banks and management.
Key responsibilities:

- Maintenance of a fit for purpose finance function
- Develop, implement and ensure effective management of processes, tools, systems to effectively measure and report on operational and financial KPIs
- Regular review of financial processes to ensure controls are maintained and processes are standardised wherever possible
- Effective cash management and forecasting
- Control of working capital, including invoicing
- Set objectives to ensure effective and timely delivery of all accounting and activities and information
- Maintenance of a robust control framework to ensure excellent financial budgeting, forecasting, reporting and analysis
- Report on the financial performance of the business to the Board with a detailed understanding of the underlying numbers and what this means for future performance
- Liaise with external auditors regarding year-end audit and oversee production of Statutory Accounts
- Principal point of contact for Banks and Investors
- Lead annual general meeting financial presentations
- Develop, implement and ensure effective management of processes, tools, systems to effectively measure and report on operational and financial KPIs
- Regular review of financial processes to ensure controls are maintained and processes are standardised wherever possible
- Effective cash management and forecasting
- Control of working capital, including invoicing
- Work with senior management team to improve invoicing process
- Analysis of the impact of new projects and services from a financial/ margin perspective. Evaluating profitability in the negotiation of commercial terms
- Ensure effective performance management against plans highlighting variances and proposed actions to improve
- Developing the analytical capability of the function, using the data available to drive future decision making, shape future strategy and deliver value adding services and insights to customers and suppliers.
- Developing trend analysis on leading KPIs to help formulate the Company’s story to management and investors
- Lead on key strategic projects across the business
- Fully qualified accountant (ACA or equivalent)
- Experience in a fast-paced business services company, possibly PE backed
- Previous City facing experience
- Strong understanding of corporate governance
- Sharp commercial and entrepreneurial acumen
