Senior Data Scientist - Bolton
Tasked with leading the Data Science team of a successful Law Firm within their Technical Enablement Stream, this is an opportunity for an experienced Data Scientist and expert in machine learning and data classification. Working in an Agile Scrum framework (transitioning to DevOps), the business is focused on leveraging their data in order to further succeed in their areas of expertise.

Key Role Responsibilities:
- Leading the data-scientists team with best practice and ensuring projects and deliverables are achieved within agreed timescales.
- Review and recommend appropriate statistical/machine learning tools and technologies with a view to enabling new concepts and approaches.
- Collaborate with the wider IT team, whether on in-house systems or 3rd party integrations
- Be the subject matter expert for machine learning techniques
- Mentor and coach less experienced data scientists and IT colleagues.
- You will work closely with the Head of Infrastructure and Programmes to ensure IT objectives are achieved
SUMMARY

- Salary: £55,000 to £70,000

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE
This role requires a skilled and experienced Data Scientist who can demonstrate a strong CV backed with excellent academics (Bachelor's and Master's degrees in Mathematics/Statistics or equivalent) as well as the following:
- Relevant prior experience with applying machine learning and predictive analytics in a commercial setting.
- Able to carry out statistical analysis including data modelling & hypothesis testing.
- Experienced in retrieving and collecting open and closed data sources, including data processing, cleansing and verification
- Programming experience (C#, PHP, R, Python etc)
- Bachelor's Degree in Maths/Statistics or equivalent
- An attention to detail and a methodical and accurate work process, striving to achieve continual excellence in your role.
