Our client is an innovative business based in West London. They are looking to recruit a hands on Head of Finance / Financial Controller in this lead finance role. Reporting to and supporting the MD, you will be responsible for:
- Overseeing all accounting and financial matters for the business
- Preparing monthly management information including P&L, balance sheet and forecasts/budgets.
- Liaising with HMRC, Companies House and external accountants, including payroll and submitting all normal returns including year end accounts, VAT,PAYE and statistical returns etc.
- Regularly monitoring and auditing projects budgets, purchases and margins.
- Line-managing bookkeeper and any other administrative or accounts staff.
- Ensuring HR guidance including coaching, appraisals, contracts and grievance and disciplinary procedures to all members of staff.
- Overseeing recruitment of new staff
- Managing all financial aspects of projects including invoicing, fees etc
- Actively participating in preparing project budgets and monitoring cash flow.
- Controlling contractual terms with suppliers and clients
