Group Financial Controller

Our client is one of the UK’s largest generator of onshore wind energy suppliers. They are currently seeking a Group Financial Controller to take on this critical finance leadership role at an exciting point in the companys’ growth. Primarily you will be supporting the CFO, and leading and delivering some key workstreams in the development of an integrated financial framework as well as supporting the existing and planned significant growth in the business.

Key Responsibilities:

• Production of Monthly Performance Pack, Cashflow planning, forecasting and management, including bank covenant management
• Monthly management accounts – P&L, Balance Sheet, Cashflow, including variance analysis to budget month, YTD and full year forecast.
• Risks and Opportunities analysis against forecast
• Production of Annual IFRS Consolidated Statutory Accounts, Investment Accounts in Luxembourg and individual SPV accounts
• Ensuring the correct adoption of new accounting standards, including IFRS 16 in 2019, and reflection in the Statutory Accounts
• Coordination, production and filing of local GAAP accounts as needed in European local juristrictions
• Coordinating the Group annual Audit process – including new requirements for the European portfolio
• Oversight, coordination and delivery of the annual budget cycle, & working with Corporate Finance to integrate into the NAV model
• Development of Accounting Policies and procedures
• Working with the tax manager to ensure that UK and European Transfer Pricing agreements are in place and ensure full tax compliance across the group

Skills and experience:

• ICAS, ACA, RA or European equivalent Qualified
• Proven experience of delivering effective financial control in a fast-growing international business of comparable size
• Ideally sector experience in a combination of Services and cash Generating real Assets
• Proven team leadership experience, ideally with an international team
• Finance system implementation experience
