Head of Finance | Fast Growth Luxury Hotel Business
The Company
Harmonic are excited to be working exclusively with one the UK's fastest growing luxury hotel businesses. They have plans to treble the number of rooms over the next couple of years with multiple sites around the UK due to open in 2020 and 2021. This should support ambitious turnover growth from c.£35m to c.£120m by 2024.
They focus on providing high end accommodation in some the 'coolest' areas of the cities in which they operate with a real focus on breath-taking architectural spaces and creative interior design. These range from spectacular old industrial sites to traditional luxury Victorian era buildings.
The Role
This is a newly created role reporting directly into the CFO. It is ultimately responsible for the management of the Finance function including a team of 10. As the business scales the role should turn into more of an FD position

The Role

Duties and Responsibilities
- Manage the production and presentation of financial information to multiple stakeholders
- Manage the monthly close and production of management accounts
- Produce the P&L and Board reports
- Manage the production of forecasting, planning and analysis (FP&A)
- Support the CFO with long term financial planning
- Provide Business Partnering and Commercial Finance support during new site acquisition and project phases
- Challenge Project teams on budgets and costs
- Ensure robust financial controls are in place
- Provide technical accounting support around IFRS policy changes (for example IFRS 16)
- Oversee the production of annual statutory accounts
- Form a close working relationship with the Leadership team
- Extensive ad-hoc projects and continuous process improvement
Required Skills
- Qualified accountant (ACA/ CIMA/ ACCA)
- Commercially astute
- Exceptional communication skills at all levels
- Management experience
- Ability to handle a fast paced, changing environment
Additional Skills:
- Hotel is experience is preferred
- Alternatively, multi-site, residential property or events experience
- Technically strong Accountant
- Been a part of a business which has scaled rapidly
