The company is a successful PE backed business, which is going through a period of positive change. The group has a strong track record, an impressive customer base, and is embarking on a phase of modernisation, implementing better systems and processes.
Description
The role is an excellent opportunity to gain skills in all areas of finance. Leading a team of 4 accountants, you will be responsible for the day to day running of finance, which will include monthly and annual reporting, AP, AR, budgeting, forecasting and planning. It will be a very hands on role, and you will lead by example with regards to the quality and timeliness of information.
The role will also support the Sales Directors and operations in Commercial decision making. This will involve customer insight and analysis, and aiding key decisions by providing detailed financial information to allow Directors to make profitable choices.
Finally the Finance Manager will need to be a systems expert. While the business will bring in a consultant to implement the new IT system, you will lead from a finance perspective.
Profile
To be successful in this process, you will be making your first move from practice, keen to work in a broad finance role. You will be ambitious, driven, and keen to lead a team. As the business is PE owned, you will be eager to develop relationships at a senior level, as well as being very hands on with your day to day work.
The ideal candidate will have a commercial mind set, and will enjoy working with non-finance colleagues.
Job Offer
A salary of between £55,000 and £65,000 depending on experience. In addition a generous discretionary bonus.
