Leadership of the financial accounting functions (Financial Accounting Manager, Tax Officer and Pensions Manager) to deliver best in class statutory reporting, maximise cashflow and ensure maximum return on investments.

You will provide trusted advice and expert counsel to the Chief Finance Officer and play a key role in ensuring appropriate policies, standards and practices are adopted across the organisation.

Profile
  • CCAB qualified with significant senior post qualification experience
  • Significant experience of managing large processing departments and delivering consistent improvements in efficiency, effectiveness and customer-focus
  • Demonstrable high-level financial stewardship
  • Proven experience of presenting financial accounts, reports and data
  • Experience of managing change and delivering consistent improvements in efficiency, effectiveness and customer-focus
  • Proven track record of coaching, mentoring to and problem solving to achieve required financial outcomes
  • Experience of motivating, managing and developing staff to better meet the needs of the organisation
  • A good knowledge of the reporting, legal and tax frameworks and how to deliver in that, with sufficient understanding of detail points to know when specific expert advice is required
  • An understanding of FRS17, the different actuarial assumptions and calculations used in assessing pension liability and the impact of different investment strategies and covenants with trustees
  • The ability to understand issues, break them down into their constituent parts, and to identify root causes and lead Team Based Problem solving sessions to identify and implement appropriate solutions.


Job Offer
  • Salary £75,000
  • Minimum 29 days' holiday (pro rata)
  • Very flexible working arrangements with home-working, and working from the London and Watford locations
