Construction Solicitor

An award-winning construction, property and civil engineering company is looking for a Legal Counsel to join them for a full-time, permanent role. Based in Lancashire, the successful In-House Counsel will have between 2 and 5 years of PQE in bids & tenders, commercial property or construction.

Responsibilities of your new role

The legal department is well established, working on a broad mix of construction, property and general commercial matters. Your key duties as In-House Counsel will include:

• Bid & tender documentation
• Negotiating and drafting standard form and bespoke construction contracts
• Handling subcontract agreements
• Dealing with novation agreements
• Providing ad hoc advice and guidance to the business

Candidate profile

The business is looking to speak with Legal Counsel applicants who demonstrate:

• 2-5 years of PQE
• A background in bids and tenders, commercial property, development or construction
• A background in private practice or a comparable in-house team
• Experience of drafting and negotiating contracts
