About the role

The BHF is the UK’s leading charity retailer and we have c.750 stores generating £200m annually. It’s a complex business going through a period of change with multiple new initiatives and many cross-organisational activities.

To support this function, we need an Interim Finance Business Partner to work closely with senior stakeholders across our Retail and core finance teams, to deliver financial analysis, support, insight and challenge to the Retail directorate.

Operating in a challenging environment and with c.3,800 Retail employees, there is a strong demand for financial support and guidance, so your job will be to advise and support senior Retail colleagues, providing the financial detail needed for effective decision-making and ensuring financial results and projections are accurate and fit for purpose.

Your ability to hit the ground running will be important. You’ll be required to get hands on in delivering each of these processes while keeping an eye on bigger picture.

About you

You’ll be adept at applying your analytical skills beyond the traditional functions of finance and bring them to bear on a broad range of commercial issues. The ability to influence and challenge at the highest level will be vital, helping to manage exposure to commercial and financial risks.

To be successful in your application, you’ll need to be:

• A credible finance leader with an exposure to multi-site (in Retail or Hospitality) reporting • A CCAB or CIMA qualified accountant • Capable of working in a changing environment and who is comfortable proposing, justifying, initiating and implementing best practice • Forward looking and enjoy using financial analysis to facilitate change by working closely with different stakeholders

When applying, please also tell us about your soft skills including:
