Description
  • Responsible for the Finance, IT and Company Secretarial functions, ensuring that strategic planning and operational performance optimise the long term financial viability of the organisation.
  • Providing financial and commercial advice and assistance to the Chief Executive, Board and Leadership Team including in relation to treasury and risk management.
  • To work on the strategic plan for the charity, leading on the financial and efficiency aspects of this, including long term financial plans, treasury management, regulation, annual budgets and value for money.
  • Maintain a strong control environment, including leading the organisations approach to risk management and data protection.
  • Lead a small finance function, ensuring that best practice and internal requirements are met in all aspects of financial control and management and that financial reporting is completed in a timely manner.
  • To support the Chief Executive in the evaluation and implementation of new development and business opportunities and develop the relationships with external stakeholders and partners needed to do so.
  • To deputise for the Chief Executive in their absence in accordance with the reporting arrangements and authority levels applicable to that post.
  • To undertake Company Secretarial duties of the organisation, ensuring overall compliance with all aspects of statutory regulation.
  • To be responsible for managing the internal audit and external audit contracts.

Profile
  • Qualified accountant (ACA, CIMA, ACCA or CIPFA)
  • Experience working in the Not for Profit sector would be beneficial
  • Experience managing a small finance function
  • Have experience in writing board reports, strategic planning and governance.
  • Immediate availability is preferred, however a short notice period could be accommodated.

Job Offer
  • Basic salary of £60-70,000
