Partner Financial are working with a blue-chip consumer business based in West London. The business has grown significantly over the years and have developed a global footprint in the market due to their customer focus and strong product offering.
Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, the Group Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for understanding and analysing the impact of new accounting standards or issues to the Group. You will also be leading a team of 3 Group Accountants, who are responsible for understanding, analysing and communicating financial information relating to the Group to internal and external audiences.
Key responsibilities:
Reporting to the Head of Financial Reporting, the Group Financial Reporting Manager will be responsible for understanding and analysing the impact of new accounting standards or issues to the Group. You will also be leading a team of 3 Group Accountants, who are responsible for understanding, analysing and communicating financial information relating to the Group to internal and external audiences.
Key responsibilities:
- Performing technical research, analysis and drafting technical papers on emerging technical interests.
- Reviewing analysis and explaining actual corporate financial performance on a monthly, quarterly, annual and ad-hoc basis.
- Preparing the group annual report and accounts and related board papers.
- Supporting key corporate goals and objectives through the preparation of consolidated group accounts.
- Providing technical advice on an ad-hoc basis to key stakeholders, supporting with initiatives and projects.
- Reviewing statutory accounts for a number of centrally managed subsidiaries.
- Managing and maintaining the relationship with the internal and external auditors.
- ACA Qualified, with experience within a Group environment
- Ability to design and implement robust, practical and sustainable internal controls
- A natural ability to build strong relationships both internally and externally
- An inquisitive mind-set where you continuously seek process improvement
- Experience of managing and developing a team
- The desire to work in a business that pride themselves on promoting internally and creating a first class finance function
