The Commercial Finance Manager will ensure that recent strong performance continues by providing first class decision support, analysis and business partnering across the whole organisation.

About the role

The Commercial Finance Manager will provide support and analysis to several non-finance teams, aiding decision making, contributing to the definition of financial targets and then supporting delivery of results. Importantly, the Commercial Finance Manager will have significant interaction with and support of the relevant directors, working together to ensure that their respective teams are partnering excellently. The role is responsible for the development and management of 3 analysts.

Key responsibilities

  • Main point of contact for relevant director relationships
  • Work with non-finance teams to provide comprehensive commercial forecasts
  • Provide accurate analysis to aid commercial decision making
  • Support and challenge non-finance stakeholders to drive greater efficiency and improve profitability
  • Business partner the team to help deliver the business plan(s), highlight opportunities, challenges and any issues
  • Presentation and provision of excellent reporting at team meetings
  • Support budgeting process
  • Help to improve sales growth
  • Commercial decision support
  • Development and management of 3 analysts

Person profile

  • CIMA, ACCA, ACA qualified 2+ years PQE
  • Experience within a fast paced, high volume environment closely linked with distribution, retail & consumer markets
  • Strong IT skills including advanced excel including modelling
  • Strong reporting and analytical skills
  • Excellent presentation and communication skills
  • Ability to work to tight deadlines in a fast paced environment with ever-changing priorities
