Interim Commercial Finance Director - 3/6 Months - £650/£850 per day LTD - London/Bedford/Birmingham

My client has an immediate requirement for an Interim Commercial Finance Director to join their business to to support the permanent hire or potentially join the business on a permanent basis. You will need experience of SaaS.

Role Responsibilities:
  • Strategic financial management of a group of software businesses with annual turnover circa £150mn
  • Key member of the Board and business partner to the MD
  • Highlight business and process improvement opportunities
  • Ownership for the integrity and accuracy for the P&L and balance sheet.
  • Maintain strong financial governance over key project
  • Play a key role in identifying and progressing acquisition opportunities
  • Ensure adequate financial controls are in place and adhered to, including all key profit and loss and balance sheet reconciliations across the Division
  • Maintain strong control over working capital and cash, providing accurate forecasts on a monthly basis and ensuring tight control of WIP & debt
  • Provide pro-active support to the Divisional Finance Director on month end issues, forecasting, year-end and business planning processes and produce key analysis schedules
  • Ensure strong management of the monthly forecasting and annual business planning processes
  • Liaise with the Division / Group teams (consolidation, tax, audit and reporting teams) and respond to several ad-hoc and routine queries as requested
  • Plan, organise and execute a number of Division wide initiatives to improve turnover, profitability and financial governance
  • Maintain an accurate business risk register

Essential
  • ACA, ACCA, CIMA qualified or equivalent
  • Led a finance function within a SaaS business
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Good ability to work well and methodically in a demanding environment
  • Team player
  • Able to use initiative (and advice of others) to identify new solutions
  • Ability to manage own workload and prioritise effectively
  • Ability to influence decision making process through clear presentation of financials
  • Ability to work to and meet deadlines
