Leading organisation in the Telecommunications industry, based in Central London, is looking for an experienced and qualified Finance Business Partner to join its vibrant and dynamic business.

Reporting into the Head of Business Partnering in the 7 strong Business Partnering team this role will support several senior stakeholders within the organisation, and will also act as an Excel super user, helping to create various financial models.

This person will be key to the delivery of the financial business plan linked to operational objectives through
the provision of strategic support, performance analysis, management reporting, budgeting and forecasting,
identification of risks and opportunities, scenario analysis.

Core Responsibilities:

  • Deliver timely and accurate management information and support the business in delivering the budgets and forecast, communicating with the business on trends, drivers and other movements.
  • Support, challenge and influence the business in understanding the financial implications of key commercial decisions.
  • Lead procurement tender processes, using your financial experience and commercial acumen to ensure the the company achieves the best commercial outcomes
  • Ensure that business requirements are understood, communicated and reflected in reporting and analysis.
  • Report on performance and drive action to facilitate achievement of business & financial objectives.
  • Provide analysis and advice on cost drivers, KPIs and measures.
  • Ensure that the financial processes and controls are well understood and communicated. Monitor compliance to ensure robust financial control environment and to ensure consistency.
  • Identify cost efficiency opportunities and lead execution in partnership with business unit executives.
  • Work with the wider finance team to drive continuous improvement in the use of the company's finance processes & systems e. forecasting cycles and budget process.
  • Liaise with finance colleagues in financial control to consider regulatory, capital accounting and tax implications.


Requirements:
  • Advanced Excel user with proven Excel-based Financial Model building experience - ESSENTIAL
  • Qualified (ACA, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent) - ESSENTIAL
  • Solid demonstrable commercial finance experience - ESSENTIAL. The successful candidate will likely be currently doing a Business Partnering, FP&A, Commercial Finance or Finance Analyst role
  • Stakeholder management experience - ESSENTIAL
  • Ability to leverage financial systems to extract and manipulate data to interrogate financial
    performance
  • Strong written and oral communication, ability to liaise effectively with senior stake holders
  • Solutions focused mentality
  • Experience in an international organization and understanding of foreign exchange implications highly desirable
  • Collaborative team player
