FINANCIAL CONTROLLER- GLOBAL EDUCATION CHARITY - NORTH LONDON

THE POSITION

ROLE OVERVIEW:

Responsible for the efforts and results of the financial department. Reporting to the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) in regard to all financial and accounting activities and dealing with members of the executive team including the CEO. Overseeing financial department staff in day-to-day operations.

ORGANISATIONAL POSITION: The Financial Controller will be responsible to the Chief Finance Officer and will be part of the Middle Management team.


Key responsibilities include:

• Oversea all company accounts including investments covering two UK and all overseas operations.
• Monthly and annual reporting, accounting and analysis, identifying results and trends.
• Forecasting, budgeting and cashflow.
• Develop KPIs and MIS reports with the CFO.
• Project accounting and reporting.
• Supervise and manage financial department staff.
• Accounting processes and systems development including compliance and regulatory.
• Liaison with department and operational heads across the charity.
• Assist the CFO in presenting reports to senior executives, stakeholders and board members.

THE CANDIDATE

Candidates should have held senior finance / financial controller roles in commercial or charity organisations and be qualified or qualified by experience.

Good technical accounting and strong interpersonal, staff management,presentation and communication skills are required. Project accounting experience is also desirable. You should be interested in working in a multi cultural environment.
