An international organisation with a UK base is looking for a Legal Counsel to advise on matters across their European offices. Based in Nottinghamshire, this In-House Counsel role is offered full-time on a permanent basis.

Your new employer

The In-House Counsel will join a business that has operations in more than 30 countries worldwide. Based in Nottinghamshire, the in-house team provides legal advice to the business in Europe, Russia, South Africa, Turkey, and Morocco.

Responsibilities of your new role

The key duties of your new Legal Counsel role will include:

• Drafting, negotiating and reviewing international commercial contracts with customers and supporting sales teams with commercial agreements
• Drafting, negotiating, and reviewing international commercial agreements in relation to supply chain
• Coaching and supporting more junior members of the team
• Supporting the business in any commercial disputes
• Development and delivery of internal training on legal updates and compliance (e.g. anti-bribery & corruption)

Candidate requirements

The business wishes to speak with Legal Counsel applicants who:

• Have 4-8 years of PQE (although other levels will be considered)
• Have experience drafting and negotiating commercial contracts, including sales, distribution, and IT
• Is comfortable working in other jurisdictions and travelling accordingly
• Demonstrates excellent communication skills and the ability to work closely with legal and non-legal colleagues throughout the business

This Legal Counsel role is perfect for an individual with some experience in an in-house team - and ideally some experience of manufacturing - who is looking for an international role with travel.

Salary

The successful Legal Counsel will be offered £55,000 - £75,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
